Photoengraving

Photoengraving consists of separating the colours according to the medium and the printing technology used.

Contrary to popular belief, only humans can guarantee an optimal result in terms of respecting the sources provided, whether they be images, drawings or paintings. It is a matter of creating the "print form", which takes the form of a separate PDF, mainly in accordance with the ISO 12647 standard.

While adopting industry standards, Quadrilaser has retained its separation know-how, particularly for black and white, but also for top-of-the-range four-colour separations enabling the full colour space permitted by printing technology to be exploited.

Creative retouching

Today, there are many possibilities for correcting images, either to modify certain colours, remove undesirable elements, harmonise backgrounds, modify skies, retouch the texture of the skin, etc.
Artificial intelligence multiplies the possibilities without knowing where it will end. Readers should be warned of changes for some publications.

Chromie

Our historical mastery of colour combined with a process of image processing on an RGB flow gives us access to advanced tools to process, retouch and improve your images. We provide CMYK separation to the ISO standards required by the latest printing industry standards, whatever the process used: screen printing, offset, gravure, etc.

We also have " Quadrilaser " separation curves, the secret of which enables us to deliver a print quality that is far superior to that of ISO standards, which are inherently reduced.

We also ensure the durability of more traditional separations such as two- or three-colour printing by evolving towards "multi-colour" separations such as hexachromy.

Colour space management

Input profile, output profile, colour spaces must be used correctly according to their source and destination: screens, offset printing, gravure, type of paper, etc. To leave nothing to chance, Quadrilaser relies on its colour management expertise and professional tools to guarantee the best result.

We rely in particular on the GMG Colorserver tool:
GMG ColorServer is an intelligent solution for the efficient conversion of color spaces from one standard to another. It enables simple, fast, economical and universally accessible data optimization for all printing processes. PDF files or pixel data are automatically separated, converted or reseparated. GMG's DeviceLink approach avoids classic limitations, such as those that exist with ICC. In addition, the resolution is adjusted and the sharpness is processed according to the output. This product enables you to face the challenges of the future - the transition from a traditional craft to industrialized and automated processes.
