Digitise in High Definition

Books, drawings, watercolours, ektas, negatives, glass plates...

Our know-how allows you to move safely into the digital world, with restitution of the most subtle details of your originals.

The experience of our scanners combined with professional tools allows us to digitise all types of documents whatever their nature or format: glass plates, negatives, ektachromes, watercolours, drawings or paintings...

Our digitise technologies

We perform 5 types of digitisation:

  • At the Kaiser reproduction bench, mounted with a Hasselblad 553 ELX equipped with a Hasselblad CFV 50 digital back (ccd).
The medium format is particularly suitable here.
  • The equipment is complemented by Balcar flashes for good lighting.
  • On a Kodak IQ Smart 3 flatbed scanner, an essential tool for all screened documents, but also for watercolours or line drawings.
  • On a semi-rotary scanner, the Hasselblad Flextight X5, considered today by specialists as the best scanner on the market for everything transparent.
  • In the photo studio equipped with a Hasselblad H4D 50MS medium format camera with a 50 megapixel digital back. It allows for multi-shot photography.
  • At the automatic photo scanner: ideal for scanning large quantities of standard, square, panoramic and instant photos, from 9 × 13 cm to 21 × 31.5 cm.

At Quadrilaser, high definition is a principle: for example, we can scan a 24 x 36 mm ekta to make a digital photo of 80 x 120 cm in 300 dpi native.

Our tools are particularly suitable if you want to make large format reproductions.

Scanning of "photo boxes" or album photos

There are millions of precious photos, taken before the age of digital photography, languishing in shoeboxes or albums. Most of them seemed doomed to obscurity, yet they are begging to be seen and shared again. Today, new technologies allow us to preserve these memories for future generations.

Here at Quadrilaser, our new "photo scanning service" will allow you to save your photos digitally on CD or DVD. Each image is scanned at 300 dpi, which is ideal for quality photographic reproduction at the same size as the originals.

Only loose photos can be scanned with this process, so remove all photos from albums and sort them by size. Make sure there is no tape or sticky substance on the photos. Remove all staples, paper clips, etc. as they will damage the scanner at high speed.

3D Scanning

3D scanning is experiencing an acceleration of uses accompanied by the rise of 3D printing.

The applications of 3D scanners are very diverse: aeronautics, automotive, dental, jewellery, art or heritage conservation...

Thanks to our ARTEC EVA 3D scanner, our photographic tools and our image know-how, Quadrilaser is able to capture not only the volume and dimensions, but also the colours and appearance of the objects to be scanned. The colour of a 3D scanned surface is called a texture.

Do you have an object you want to scan but don't have the necessary equipment?

Based on the description of your project, the objectives that you have set for yourself, and some photos that you would like to send us, we will carry out a feasibility study and draw up the corresponding estimate. Pricing depends on the complexity of the part, the post-processing time and the destination of the scan.

Mechanical parts, artistic parts, museum pieces, reverse engineering.... Whatever your existing objects, do not hesitate to contact us.
